Prior to your Lasik surgery, it may be necessary to change one or two things in your home if your current vision is not doing so well.

Making some small changes in the house may be helpful, if your physician says your surgery will be down the road a bit.

For instance, a large wall clock may be helpful for folks with vision impairment. Whether one has vision anomalies, has partial blindness in one eye, has glaucoma, or has cataracts, this may be the clock style for you prior to the required surgical treatment of your eyes. When one has poor vision, the ability to see as well as someone with unimpaired vision, is decreased. The ability to see may be limited in several ways. However, a crisp white background might provide better contrast with the numerals, so that might be a consideration for you in terms of how easy it is for your eyes to see the numbers.

Finding your specialty physician prior to surgery, and staying in good communication with your doctor, will give you the knowledge you need prior to surgery. With the information your surgeon provides, you will know if it is appropriate to make any pre-operative modifications to your home.
